Workforce Development Initiatives

In response to the challenge of business and industry to successfully operate a climate of intensified global competition, the Office of Technical Education placed expanded focus on the creation and maintenance of partnerships, collaboratives and strategic alliances that are designed to encompass a full range of training and education programs and ensure ease of access to workers and employers.

Such a partnership between business, industry and government could help to develop a workforce investment system and ensure ease of access to workers and employers, encompass a full range of training and education programs, and respond to the local market.
